Brutalist Patterns
I've experimented with overlaying patterns and blending colours in the same way that
the concrete is stained and darkened.

Owwch! Vampire Shoes
The theme of painful shoes prevails, I remember my friend's foot actually pouring with blood one night.
The heels were then referred to as the "Vampire Shoes".

Paper Clothing
Disposable fashion? Fuck Primark it's all about paper dresses!
(or microfibre dura-weve paper to be precise)
Here's some lovely research of paper clothing from the sixties, same era as the architecture I've been looking at.

I've been using bright colours which juxtaposed against the grey and dreary concrete and relate to my

Brutalist Architecture
Here are some collaged sketchbook pages relating to my research of patterns within Brutalist architecture.
I visited the usual sites such as the Barbican and the Southbank but also visited council estates, the most
surreal of which was Thamesmead.

It's amazing seeing how the idealistic architecture of the time has failed the residents so badly...

Why hello there and welcome to my new blog!
As I've started my third year in BA Illustration at LCC I thought it was a good time to have a fresh start and upload all the things I have been doing over the summer...

Monoprint Experiments
I've been having some fun in the Print Room away from the screen printing beds.
Monoprinting is great as it's instant satisfaction and you can't be to precious... I'm not good at being precious.
I basically just scribbled off the top of my head.
I had financial worries
